Glasgow was home between 2019 and 2021, a period marked by the sudden quiet of the pandemic shortly after arrival. With no clear reference for what was considered usual, the city experienced during this time became complete in its own right and deeply personal. Photography emerged as a way to record small moments and ordinary scenes using a mobile phone, without filters or edits. The resulting images appear raw, random, or mundane, yet each holds a quiet observation that informed ways of seeing and designing. This book gathers these informal photographs alongside a conversation with William Chew, reflecting on photography and architecture, the presence of the camera, and the subtle beauty found in everyday environments.
