We were commissioned to transform the ground floor of a bird nest house into a restaurant, located between our client’s existing café and a vast paddy field. The facade was designed to appear minimal yet bold, with carefully proportioned glass windows framing the open landscape. Inside, the layout is simple and open, combining dining and a small history gallery. Local materials such as terracotta red and paddy green-and-yellow plaster give warmth and identity to the space.
