We designed this home for a young couple and their dog, imagining it as a series of pockets with different spatial experiences. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s idea of ‘compression and release,’ we played with ceiling heights instead of adding more walls to define spaces. The result is an open plan filled with layers of colour, materials, and light. Pocket House is also our homage to 20th-century modernist and mid-century design.
