Our client, an art collector, wanted to create a community hub for local artists and young entrepreneurs behind his existing hotel. We were asked to design a feasible and sustainable business model with minimal energy use. Our idea was to create ‘spaces within a space,’ using a single roof and floor plate to host a series of open pockets that allow natural air and light to flow through. The raised floor also hides services below, making maintenance easy and efficient.
